Winter is in full swing in Virginia! We’re all just a short drive away from some pretty great ski and tubing hills. Not all of the listed snow tubing hills are in Northern VA, but they’re all a manageable drive from the Sterling or Dulles area.

Snow tubing is a great winter activity for those who aren’t actually a fan of winter activities. Skiing and snowboarding are fun, but they’re not for everyone. Snow tubing is a fun, affordable winter activity that doesn’t require any commitment. You don’t have to invest in an expensive snowboard or skis!

The resorts listed below are also home to great skiing and snowboarding hills, in addition to snow tubing. With the exception of Heritage Hills Resort in Pennsylvania, they’re all under a two hour drive from Sterling. We’d encourage you to visit their websites for snow tube hill hours or closures.
